Mr. Sammy-Longman Attakumah

Mr. Sammy-Longman Attakumah is a career Civil Servant of the Ghana Civil Service and the Chief Director of the Employment and Labour Ministry.

His career goal is to maintain a top-level professional leadership with focus on providing Policy direction and excellent Managerial and Ethical Leadership with the commitment required to upscale the corporate image of the Ministry and enhance its integrity and global competitiveness.

He has a career and professional training in Senior Management Development Course, GIMPA; Post-Graduate Certificate in Education Sector Planning, IIEP/UNESCO, Paris by Distance Learning; Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management Practice, Institute of Human Resource Practitioners (IHRP), Ghana; and a Certificate in Population Communication, Ghana Institute of Journalism, Accra.

His work experience cuts across both Private and Public Sector Institutions and held positions at the Senior Management levels with over Twenty-Six (26) years hands-on experience. Half (Thirteen) of his working life were with the Local Government Service of Ghana, and the remaining half in Central Government Administration.

Mr. Attakumah’s leadership style involves coaching and mentoring, nurturing team spirit on work platform for maximizing performance, productivity and corporate image.He exhibits great personal commitment to institutional best practices that inure to the health of the organization.

He is married with three (3) Children and his hobbies include reading, music, religious discourse, social development, philanthropy and travelling.
