Integrated Community Centres for Employable SkillsIntegrated Community Centres for Employable Skills (ICCES) is responsible for providing vocational, entrepreneurial and skills training to early school exitors, literates and non-literates at the community level, to enable them establish their own enterprises, generate employment and check the rural urban drift of the youth in search for non-existent jobs. It’s policy objective is to increase the access of young person’s to skills acquisition and empowerment for productive employment.

To equip and empower the unemployed, especially the youth, with employable skills through vocational skills training at the community level throughout Ghana.

Functions

  1. Provide competency-based vocational training and retraining for young persons – illiterate and semi-literate and out-of-school youth;
  2. Provide counselling interventions for trainees and prospective trainees;
  3. Develop the literacy and numeracy skills of our illiterate trainees;
  4. Facilitate trainee mobilisation for the establishment of micro and small-scale enterprises.
